How to input category in a drop box or a text field when creating a new product in the POS

If you want to create the product/part codes directly from the POS, there are couple of things to bear in mind:

From the main menu: Configuration / General information

Tick the option 12

Save

Open the POS to prepare an estimate for a client:


  • Type the new product code in the POS box + Enter
  • GEM-CAR will automatically open the category list drop down menu
  • Choose your category for the new product
  • Enter a description for the product
  • Continue entering the information for the new product (quantity, cost, margin…)



After entering all the information, GEM-CAR will ask you if you want to add this item into permanent inventory if you want to use it later (click YES) or if this is for a single use only (click NO).
