Using a kit for a Tire job in a great option that links Category for additional fees for (RIM /WHEEL /SIZE ) and then a part category = parts option ( weights).
We book the appointment using the common info that customer should know if they have Wheel or RIM or just Tire. For most customer the size is too technical.
Technically at this point we need ONE code for All Appointment of Tire Installation But price should change based on the fact that the wheel in mounted on (Tire only, Steel, Aluminum) and size (All labor component).
Small tires can be changed in 30 minutes while large tires on rim can take one hour.
- Knowing the RWT allows the advisor to be able to move the duration of the appointment from 1 hour to 30 minutes
Tip Even if the duration of the job has a .25 minimum.... When adding qty of 4, GEM-CAR puts 1 hour...
The advisor can move it back to 30 min
The additional labor component in a kit a great but need to be saved in cat 300 to be included in the parts memory
- if we set it to be in "appointment" the parts memory won't work
- PB - $0 ( appointment )
- Aluminum - $14
- Steel Rim Oversize - $20
What is the solution ? to use performance report and parts memory
Option 1 - Manual
- Use the kit as is ... before invoicing
- Move all $ from the additional labor to the Job that has the "appointment"
- If you forget to adjust the $$$, the performance report won't be accurate
Option 2 - Manual
- Use the kit as is ... before invoicing
- Move all $ from the additional labor to the Job that has the "appointment"
- If you forget to adjust the $$$, the performance report won't be accurate
TIP : Cheat sheet for calculation for quoting
Here parts memory ? would work but :
- Tire size might be different
- One set for summer with Rim, winter with wheel
At the end, the technician is the only one that can validate what are the extra fees for the tire job.
